In a Serie A draw at home against bottom team Salernitana, Festy Ebosele, a defender for the Republic of Ireland, was sent off for two bookable offenses. Ebosele, a native of Wexford who earned two caps for Ireland during the last stages of the Stephen Kenny era, was sent off after receiving his second yellow card in the 64th minute for a foul. Ebosele has been a consistent player for Udinese this season, but due to suspension, he will not travel with the team to Lazio on March 11. Loum Tchaouna's curler gave Salernitana a point at last, but they were unable to overcome the 10-man Udinese and the spectacular bicycle kick of Hassane Kamara.
In another match, Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Pellegrini put Roma ahead before halftime. Later Paulo Dybala and a penalty kick from Leandro Paredes made it much more comfortable for them to win 4-1 away in Monza. For the hosts, Andrea Carboni scored a late consolation goal.
