A goal by Josh Sargent, the match drew

Josh Sargent scored a goal for the second time for Werder Bremen but in this match against FC Cologne, his goal got canceled out by Jonas Hector as an equalizer in the match to make it 1-1. FC Cologne was focused to increase the gap and so it has begun by three points above the relegation zone. Even if the initial chances in the game were with Werder Bremen, Cologne was yet aggressive and purposefully went forward.

Cologne had the opportunity of the first half when Ellyes Skhiri from the corner was given a free header but he could do nothing except directing his efforts straight at the goalkeeper from out. Max Meyer, the midfielder for Cologne made his initial start in January. Earlier it was Schalke midfielder’s first Bundesliga match since 2018.
