A heavy blow for Borussia Dortmund before facing Barcelona

Niko Kovac, the head coach of the German club Borussia Dortmund, has received a significant blow ahead of the match against the Spanish team Barcelona in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The highly anticipated match between the two teams will take place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, where the Catalan team is looking to continue its journey in the tournament after qualifying at the expense of Portuguese side Benfica, while Dortmund advanced at the expense of French team Lille.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Dortmund will suffer from three notable absences in the upcoming match, as the team will miss the efforts of centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck who will not play again this season after tearing the meniscus, defender Niklas Süle and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer due to injury too, while Pascal Groß, the defensive midfielder, has been suspended.
