A Lingard screamer gives United the FA Cup

With all the back lash that Louis Van Gaal is getting on this specific day, the press from all around the world are saying that even if he won the FA Cup, he was going to leave Manchester United. The least he could've done was attempt to play a more offensive football to try and convince the fans that he is worthy of staying, but instead of this he chooses to make them suffer once again. The For 78 minutes, we watched a truly boring match that delved more in midfield with two teams that didn't want their rival to score.

There was not really a big initiative, but at the 78th minute Puncheon scored a goal with no angle and the match turned on its head. Just two minutes later, Juan Mata scored the equalizer. After the great run from a fantastic Wayne Rooney, Fellaini chested the ball down and Mata found the back of the net with a low shot that got slightly deflected. With ten minutes before the final whistle, not team was able to score the winner and the match went into over time.

The bad news of the day was the injury of Marcus Rashford, who during the second half got a knock on his right knee and had to come out limping. His participation on the Euros for England is in doubt now. But onto the over time, the real action came on the second 15 minutes of over time, after Chris Smalling got sent off for a second yellow card after preventing a counter attack with a necessary foul. He took one for the team.

It was until the 110th minute that Valencia's cross was half cleared and Jesse Lingard smacked in a volley. He was booked for taking his shirt off but no one really cared at that moment. Louis Van Gaal fused in a hug with Ryan Giggs, United had done it, they salvaged the season with the FA Cup title by the end. Now the real question is if this will be enough for Louis Van Gaal to stay with the Red Devils. Congratulations to Manchester United for the FA Cup title.
