Abel Ruiz, a standout for SC Braga, received a first offer this week from Girona, a La Liga team. as reported by Mundo Deportivo, which cited Mais Futebol, a Portuguese publication that on Monday offered an update on the most recent goings-on behind the scenes at the Estadi Montilivi.
It's believed that Girona has Ruiz as one of their top targets as they search for offensive reinforcements in preparation for the team's inaugural Champions League campaign the following season. The 24-year-old has been playing in Portugal for the past four seasons. He began his professional career in Spain, working for Valencia and Barcelona. Ruiz made 48 appearances in all competitions during the 2023–24 campaign, tallying eight goals and three assists. And while these were not spectacular figures, they were sufficient to persuade the previously mentioned Girona to make a first offer for his services.
