In a 2-0 victory over Lecce, goals from Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave AC Milan their first victory of the 2025–26 Serie A campaign. Despite Milan's 2-1 loss to recently promoted Cremonese to start the season, Massimiliano Allegri managed to secure his first league victory since rejoining the team.

Matteo Gabbia's incredible header in the sixth minute gave the Rossoneri the lead, but VAR disallowed the goal for a foul inside the penalty area. And shortly after the hour, Milan was denied the first goal once more by VAR, which disallowed Santiago Gimenez's drilled effort for offside this time. However, Allegri's side got their goal in the 66th minute when Loftus-Cheek rose highest to head Luka Modric's teasing free-kick beyond the grasp of Wladimiro Falcone. Pulisic sealed all three points nine minutes after his introduction.
