AC Milan a 1-0 win at Lazio

Third-place Milan with 56 points broke the scoreless tie in the 88th minute on a rebound from close to the penalty spot scored by replacement Okafor. When defender Luca Pellegrini was given a second card in the 57th minute for attempting to illegally stop Christian Pulisic after losing the ball, Lazio were reduced to 10 men. After midfielder Matteo Guendouzi and defender Adam Marusic were both dismissed, the hosts had eight players remaining in the game.

Milan sits 13 points behind leader Inter Milan, who hosts Genoa on Monday, and one point behind second-place Juventus, who visit Napoli on Sunday. Lazio was incensed because they did not receive a penalty in the first half. Half an hour remained and Milan had a goal disallowed for offside. As a consequence, Milan, in third place, closed the gap on Juventus to just one point. On Sunday, Juventus will play Napoli.
