As Malick Thiaw approaches a €40 million move to Newcastle United, AC Milan is searching for a centre-back, and one of the players on their shortlist is Jakub Kiwior. This weekend, David Ornstein wrote for The Athletic that Newcastle United is getting closer to signing AC Milan's Malick Thiaw. A €35 million plus €5 million agreement is being finished, albeit it hasn't been announced as of this writing.
Despite missing both 2024–2025 and 2023–2024 due to injury, Thiaw has been a vital part of Milan's defence in recent years, making 31 appearances in 2024–2025 and 30 in 2023–2024. If he leaves, Italian outlet Gazzetta reports that Milan will want to replace him, and Jakub Kiwior is among their options. Gazzetta writes that negotiations for Kiwior are complicated, with Arsenal asking for €35m and turning down a €27m offer from Porto.
