AC Milan beats Monza

After Filippo Ranocchia had given Monza the lead on Saturday, Divock Origi scored his first goal for Milan, and Rafael Leao, who had come on as a replacement, put an end to the game. The only thing that went wrong for Milan was seeing Diaz hobble off the field early in the second half while holding his left leg. Milan will be hoping that his injury is not too severe as they have two Champions League group-stage games still to play in the next two weeks.

Ahead of Napoli's Sunday encounter against Roma, Milan has caught up to Serie A's top team. In an incredible move, Diaz received a goal kick in the middle of the field, ran past three players, and then slid the ball across the goal line and into the bottom right corner to give Milan the lead in the 16th minute.
