The 28-year-old defender, Clement Lenglet, made a move from Barcelona to Aston Villa on a one-year loan in early September. Despite Aston Villa's success, currently sitting in third place in the league standings, Lenglet has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League under manager Unai Emery.
This lack of playing time has fueled speculation about Lenglet's future, with reported interest from Bayern Munich and AC Milan. AC Milan, in particular, is said to be entering negotiations with Barcelona for the on-loan defender in the coming days. The Italian club is facing a defensive crisis due to injuries to key players and aims to secure Lenglet's services in the January transfer window. For Lenglet, the prospect of regular playing time is a key factor, and AC Milan seems to offer that opportunity. Barcelona, on the other hand, has been eager to offload the defender, making negotiations potentially smoother.
