Aduriz is happy for scoring his first goal

Athletic striker Uritz Aduriz managed to score the equalizer against Italy last Thursday during a friendly match between both sides. The Spaniard player told the press after the match that he feels very happy for the goal but unhappy for the draw in Italian soil. Aduriz spoke to AS to discuss the match and the outcome, he came back to play for Spain six years after being called up for the first time and scored his first ever goal with the squad.

“I’m very happy to participate in the national team, with these great players. It’s just a pity we couldn’t win. It wasn’t an easy game. They know very well what they have to do. It was difficult to create chances. It’s easy to get along with these players. They are very good and they make things much easier. We were better in the second half. We didn’t press well in the first and they got forward with ease. We were closer in the second. The draw is good.”

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque also spoke after the match and talked about Aduriz's match, as well as the part that De Gea played in the end result: "Aduriz performed well. He's adapted perfectly to our game. Morata played well in both positions. I'm satisfied with his work. De Gea and Casillas are good. We have absolute confidence in our goalkeepers. Italy made more chances than us, but we did good things. We couldn't have possession of the ball. We needed to risk more. I hope we’re in a better condition for Euro 2016."
