Press reports indicate that Al‑Ittihad have launched a serious attempt to sign Cameroonian midfielder Christian Kofane from Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming transfer window. Sources suggest the Saudi club are ready to submit a substantial proposal worth up to fifty million euros in hopes of convincing the former German champions to part with one of their key players. Al‑Ittihad view Kofane as a crucial addition to strengthen the squad for domestic and continental ambitions, believing his technical quality and versatility would significantly elevate the team next season.

However, Leverkusen’s management have made their stance clear, insisting they have no intention of selling the player at this stage. Kofane remains an essential figure in the squad, trusted by the coaching staff and central to the club’s long‑term plans. Despite the resistance, Al‑Ittihad continue to push for the deal as they aim to assemble a competitive team capable of meeting future challenges.
