Ghanaian international Andy Yiadom made his debut for Reading in a preseason friendly against Eastleigh FC.
The right-back was in action when his side lost 2-1 to the lower division side in their first test match ahead of the new season.
Yiadom played the entire match and gave a good account of himself.
The defender joined Reading on a four-year deal from relegated side Barnsley.
The Black Stars player opted for Reading despite several offers from Swansea City, West Ham United and Celtic who were all reportedly interested in signing him.
He is expected to fight his way into the Reading starting team by justifying himself in the team’s preseason exercise.
The 24-year-old’s consistent performance earned him a place in the Black Stars squad.
He represented Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
