Arda nets hat-trick to ease Clasico pain

FC Barcelona really needed to get through the hard moment that was el Clasico last Saturday, especially with Arda Turan who was the main responsible for allowing Real Madrid to score the equalizer hear the end of the match. This Tuesday was ideal for the Blaugranas to get back to a victory that would confirm that last Saturday was just a slip-up, the whole squad responded with a convincing 4-0 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach.

The match started with a Leo Messi special which was his 10th goal of the competition so far, Iniesta was involved in the build-up with him and he slid home a trademark finish from inside the box after an Arda cross. For the Turkish midfielder, this was the first of many great moments during the match and it was barely the 16th minute. the first half ended with just this slight advantage, but the best was yet to come.

It took Arda just five minutes into the second half to score his goal, he doubled Barcelona's advantage after a Denis cross took a deflection and the Turkish player made it 2-0 from the far post. Three minutes later, a ball pulled back from the right-hand side by Aleix Vidal and Arda was there again to rifle home from the penalty spot. His magical night ended with a Paco Alcacer assist in the 67th minute, Arda was there to finish the cross and get his first hat-trick with a Spanish football club.
