Arda predicted his hat-trick

There are sometimes when a world class player is feeling so confident, that he can even get to predict what can happen with the outcome of a game. Arda Turan's control of the last Copa del Rey match against Hercules in which the Catalan club won 7-0, was simply stunning. His teammates weren't surprised by his performance and some of them even revealed that Arda's confidence was so good, he even managed to predict he would score a hat-trick.

Ivan Rakitic said: "I am not surprised. In the corner he told me: 'Brother, give it to me soon, I want to get the hat-trick'. And in 10 seconds he got it. The truth is that in the first part Hercules defended well, but we had patience. After the first goal it was easier. We had to give more than in the first game. The year has gone very well, but could be better. Now it's about enjoying these days with the family and coming back with more strength, 100 per cent."

But Arda needs to improve quite a bit if he wants to perform next to Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. The Turkish midfielder hasn't really been at the same level he had back in Atletico Madrid, but this past Thursday's performance fills him with confidence to return from the holidays with a strong new resolve.
