Arnau Martinez has been a player in-demand

Martinez has had trouble getting consistent playing time at Girona this season, but that is still the case. Despite being relegated to a squad duty since Yan Couto's arrival, he continues to play a vital part in Michel Sanchez's team, as evidenced by the fact that he has received a contract extension offer.

Martinez has agreed to Girona's most recent proposal, according to RAC1, which will allow him to continue until the expiration of his current contract in 2025. His release clause, which is now set at €20 million, will, however, be lowered as part of the accord; the new amount is still unknown. In either case, Martinez is probably going to get a lot of interest from teams around Europe. The young player may be planning a summer departure, but Girona won't lose him for free in 2025, at the absolute least.
