Arsenal are reportedly considering an offer for Marcos Leonardo

Top European teams are apparently interested in teenage Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo from Santos, and Arsenal is reportedly considering making an offer. According to reports, Arsenal is considering a deal for Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo of Santos during the January transfer window. Though no formal bids have been made as of yet, Goal Brasil reports that Arsenal's inquiries into the player imply they may increase their interest while the window is still open.

Leonardo has been an excellent player for Santos. He gained further notoriety at the u20 World Cup when he played with Marquinhos of Arsenal and scored five goals in five matches. The 20-year-old has scored 21 goals in 49 games for his team this year, maintaining his excellent play. Given their current circumstances and their relegation from Brazil's top league, Santos could be more amenable to discussions for Leonardo.
