Arsenal beat Burnley 3-1

After losing to Newcastle last weekend, the Gunners had a difficult time breaking down a disciplined Clarets team for the majority of the first half. However, Leandro Trossard's heroic nod at the far post for Arsenal's 1,000th goal at Emirates Stadium broke the deadlock.

Josh Brownhill's low effort was knocked into the net by Gabriel eight minutes into the second half to tie the score for Burnley. However, the visitors' lead lasted only three minutes as William Saliba headed in Trossard's corner from close range. After Dara O'Shea had mistakenly guided another Trossard corner against the crossbar, Oleksandr Zinchenko finished the scoring with a spectacular strike into the top corner. After second-half replacement Fabio Vieira received a straight red card for a studs-up assault on Brownhill, Arsenal ended the match with 10 men, but the Gunners held on convincingly.
