Arsenal has established initial contact with the 20-year-old French central defender Jérémy Jacquet, who has caught the club's eye.
The Gunners are drawn to Jacquet's profile; he recently inked a new contract with Rennes that runs until June 2029, positioning him as a potential option if any defender leaves this month or as a future prospect through 2026.
It's noteworthy that Jacquet is a Rennes academy product. He was loaned to Clermont in the winter of 2024, spending the full year there before returning to his parent club this winter. Last season, he appeared in 29 matches, netting 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
