Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Ivan Toney

The England player was given a suspension that lasted until January for breaking the FA's betting regulations, but since his return, he has scored four goals in his first ten Premier League appearances. It's often said that Arsenal is the front-runner to sign Toney. With Eddie Nketiah having already been notified that he is free to depart, Mikel Arteta is hoping to expand his offensive options come summertime. Tottenham, meanwhile, has always been monitoring Toney's circumstances as Ange Postecoglou attempts to replace Richarlison with a competitor.

Journalist Alex Smith of Caught Offside now claims that Spurs are in the lead to sign the 28-year-old charmer. According to the source, Tottenham has moved "ahead of other interested parties" in the Toney competition, including West Ham, Arsenal, and Chelsea. The Premier League's profit and sustainability regulations are causing problems for Chelsea, and the Hammers "need to get their own house in order before they can consider bringing any new signings on board."
