This month, Arsenal will make a formal offer to Real Madrid for Martin Odegaard. The Gunners are preparing to intensify their chase of the 22-year-old midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta and Edu's shortlist includes Odegaard as well as Leicester City standout James Maddison - but the Foxes value the England international at £60 million. However, it appears like Arsenal has selected Odegaard over Maddison, with an offer expected in the near future.
Former Arsenal great Perry Groves stated earlier this summer that he sees parallels between the two playmakers, which turned out to be a warning to his former club. Besides, Ozil has so far made 611 appearances and 106 goals, in his career making significant contributions.
