Arsenal secured a 2-0 win at Aston Villa

Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 2-0 and won their second straight Premier League game after scoring twice in ten minutes. Leandro Trossard, a substitute, gave Aston Villa cause for regret in the 68th minute when he scored past Emi Martinez just two minutes after coming into the game. Ten minutes later, Thomas Partey secured all three points with a goal that he stroked into the bottom corner after collecting a feed from Bukayo Saka on the outside of the penalty area.

With the game at 0-0, Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, in particular, will regret his wasted opportunities. In the first, he had a clear opportunity to score on minute twenty-five but missed, and in the second, David Raya's incredible save prevented a header. In a season where the Gunners came dangerously close to winning the Premier League, Villa defeated Arsenal both home and away. On Saturday, Mikel Arteta's team made sure that mistake would not be made again.
