Arsenal’s Martinelli and Smith Rowe injury update

Arsenal would take on Southampton on Saturday’s match at the Emirates Stadium and Gabriel Martinelli has been given the green card ahead of the clash while Emile Smith Rowe is still being assessed for fitness after he missed Monday’s clash with Everton as well. Smith Rowe picked up a groin problem after facing Manchester United the previous week and Martinelli who had attended the 2-1 defeat away to Everton was forced off the pitch after 71 minutes while Eddie Nketiah was called in to replace him.

Mikel Arteta later had admitted that he suspected a hamstring issue for the Brazilian now the player has been made available for the meeting with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side. The goalkeeper Bernd Leno, is still considered doubtful for the upcoming clash and Sead Kolasinac is out with an ankle injury.
