Since switching from Barcelona to Juventus, the Brazilian midfielder has suffered from a number of ailments. He spent the previous season on loan at Liverpool, despite Juventus' two attempts to transfer him. Sadly, ailments cut short his stay with the Reds, and he left without playing a game for them before returning to Turin. Fiorentina decided to take a risk on Arthur and added him to their roster for the current campaign on loan. La Viola has really improved his form under their tutelage, and he seems to be having fun while he's in Florence.
Even while there have been rumours of a potential permanent stay with Fiorentina, current events seem to make this possibility less and less feasible. According to Calciomercato, Fiorentina's unwillingness to match Arthur's present salary will make it difficult for her to get him permanently.
