AS Monaco wins against Angers

In the sixth place tie with Angers, the Rouge et Blanc beat (2-0) Angers (2-0) to move up to sixth place, three points ahead of the podium. Monaco wanted to get three points against Angers. A 2-0 victory, with both goals coming in the second half, was achieved with Philippe Clement's team.

Maghnes Akliouche got the start on the right flank for Angers. Malang Sarr, Ismail Jakobs, Eliot Matazo, and Takumi Minamino returned to the starting lineup, while Axel Disasi, who has played in Monegasque colours for over 100 games, was brought in. Angers were denied a goal for offside yet again. Then it was the turn of Takumi Minamino to try his luck from the edge of the area, but Yahia Fofana made a terrific save. Nübel, who made several excellent saves in the second half, answered the challenge.
