According to rumours in Italy, loan club Bologna is debating whether to end their agreement with Aston Villa too soon, meaning Samuel Iling-Junior might return to the club as early as next month.
In a series of summer moves with Serie A team Juventus, Villa paid over £12 million for Iling-Junior. In exchange, Juventus bought Douglas Luiz, allowing teenage winger Iling-Junior and midfielder Enzo Barrenechea to go in the other direction. The England under-21 player, who started his career at Chelsea, joined Villa during the preseason. Iling-Junior returned to Italy with Bologna and Barrenechea going to Spain and Valencia, respectively, after it became clear that the two would not be able to make Villa's match-day squad in August and they were left out of the squad for the games against West Ham and Arsenal.
