Charles De Ketelaere struck twice as Atalanta earned their first Serie A win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Lecce at the Gewiss Stadium.
Giorgio Scalvini opened the scoring in the 37th minute, heading in from Nicola Zalewski’s corner. Six minutes after the restart, Mario Pasalic and Nikola Krstovic combined neatly to set up De Ketelaere for his first. Zalewski, who had earlier rattled the crossbar with a thunderous free-kick, made it 3-0 in the 70th minute with a superb solo effort. Just three minutes later, De Ketelaere capitalised on a defensive error from Jamil Siebert, racing through to slot home his second of the night. Lecce pulled one back in style through Konan N'Dri’s long-range strike, but it was little more than consolation as Ivan Juric’s side sealed a commanding first league win.
