Atalanta easily won 4-0 in Monza with to two goals from Charles De Ketelaere, securing third place and condemning the home team to relegation from Serie A. Within 23 minutes, De Ketelaere of Belgium had already scored twice, first by dribbling past two players into the area for a nice finish and then by scoring his second goal after a Monza mistake. Two minutes after the interval, Ademola Lookman scored a third goal for Atalanta with his left foot after easily shrugging off his opponent, sealing Monza's unfortunate destiny.
Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi made a spectacular stop on the line to deny Omari Forson's diving header late in the game, adding to the home team's suffering. Marco Brescianini added a fourth for the away side two minutes from time, sending Monza down with a whimper – it sits bottom and an unassailable 12 points adrift of 17th-placed Lecce.
