Atlético Madrid eliminates Manchester United

In a shocking result, Atlético Madrid booked a berth in the quarter-finals round of Champions League with their surprising 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford to advance on an aggregate win of 2-1. Madrid’s Renan Lodi scored with a header in the first half itself to set the team up for a historic win. The team later went on to display strong defensive capability as well in the second half to keep Red Devils at bay.

Colchoneros robbed a victory at Old Trafford with just one shot inside the penalty box meanwhile Man Utd had seven shots instead but none made it past Atleti’s goalkeeper. Atleti had created another chance but João Félix’s shot was ruled out for an offside and then Lodi’s goal which had quite a buildup as well but it ended up on the far post side. Madrid’s earned the spot with their dominance on both the halves.
