La Liga heavyweights Atlético Madrid are expected to put the finishing touches on the signing of Atalanta star Matteo Ruggeri early this coming week. Based on an update on the situation given by market insider Fabrizio Romano on Sunday. Naturally, the name of left-back Ruggeri has dominated the news in the capital of Spain in recent days. This follows extensive evidence that Atlético was deep in advanced talks to sign the 22-year-old for the upcoming campaign in the Metropolitano. As previously mentioned, Ruggeri may now be regarded as all but an Atléti player if the most recent rumour circulating through the media this weekend is any indication.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano: ‘Matteo Ruggeri deal will be signed on Tuesday with Atlético Madrid and Atalanta completing all paperwork. €17m fixed fee plus €3m add-ons considered easy to reach.’
