The Spanish defending champions are back on top of the table after beating Getafe by 2-1 on Tuesday. Visitors took advantage of the fact that they were facing a 10 men squad in the second half as they grabbed the three points with a double by Luis Suarez. In the six games now Atlético proudly tallies 14 points in La Liga as they denied Getafe a chance to open their points tally this week.

Getafe could not maintain their one-goal lead after the first half, and everything went downhill for them when Carles Aleñá was given a red card at 74th minute at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium. David Soria then worked hard to deny a goal but facing a determine Atlético on the other side, he could not hold the fort down and Suarez did his magic, blasted twice into the net.
