Baptista thinks Zidane will take Madrid to a new era

There are many who actually believe that Zinedine Zidane is destined to succeed at Real Madrid the same way he did as a player. He has already started by winning the Champions League on his first season as the manager, but he is coming for more and the local press and fans are calling him Real Madrid's own version of a Johan Cruyff figure. Former Real Madrid forward Julio Baptista who won La Liga back in 2008, is very optimistic when talking about Zidane.

He told Omnisport that: "I think he has the confidence of everyone to continue working. The players respect him, the fans like him. I think he can be the right person to keep the club going forward. Madrid obviously ended very well. They got rid of Benitez and added Zidane and the players looked good in a short amount of time. They played incredible football. Very fast pace. You see with the players, they won the Champions League because of how they reacted to Zidane."

It's pretty obvious by now that Zidane will end up winning more titles with Los Blancos, the real question is if he will be able to counter attack Messi's legacy with the club and defeat Barcelona in every tournament they play. Only time will tell, but this upcoming season he will have full decision making powers and the world will see what kind of a team Zinedine Zidane can put together to compete in every tournament they face.
