Pau Cubarsi is the gem of Barcelona's future alongside Lamine Yamal. And Joan Laporta wants no surprises with his future, only confirmation that he will renew with the club of his life before the end of the season.

Press said on Friday that the Spanish club have already sent the centre-back an extension offer. His new contract would include a €1 billion buyout clause, plus a considerable pay rise.

Pau Cubarsi became the youngest defender to make his debut for Spain. He did so in London against Colombia to break Sergio Ramos' record. Not only that, but he excelled on his Champions League debut.

The No.33 kept Victor Osimhen at bay to the extent that UEFA awarded him man of the match. Xavi Hernandez has faith in the talented youngster who could be the future of the Spotify Camp Nou.
