FC Barcelona is exploring a move for Manchester City defender Nathan Aké, with sporting director Deco reportedly admiring the 31-year-old's experience. Despite a contract running until 2027, limited minutes under Pep Guardiola have spurred exit speculation. Aké’s tactical versatility and comfort on the ball make him a strong fit for Hansi Flick's possession-focused system, where he could provide cover at both center-back and left-back.

Furthermore, his Premier League experience would offer valuable leadership to a young Barcelona backline. However, Barcelona's ongoing salary cap challenges may complicate a €30-40 million deal, potentially requiring player sales to facilitate the transfer. Despite these constraints, Deco’s interest suggests the club may pursue the Dutchman if a suitable financial package is agreed.
