Barcelona could part with three defenders in summer

Barcelona is headed for a long summer this season as the project overhaul under Xavi Hernandez takes shape. The La Liga side would complete many high-profile signing as the manager is set on building a good roster to lead the team to title after title. This means many members of the squad would be getting the axe as well to make way for new recruits and defence is one area the team has struggled with.

Andreas Christensen is set to join Chelsea, Cesar Azpilicueta might follow the same path. The Spanish giants are involved in talks with Noussair Mazraoui to complete a free transfer and a new left-back is also required. Barca would thus unload long-serving Sergi Roberto who has had an injury-riddled season. Clement Lenglet is another name with a cross next to it after he fell down the pecking order. Lastly, Oscar Mingueza is also on the list,  as under Xavi the name has not featured in starting XI much.
