Barcelona may pursue Fiorentina's Michael Kayode this summer if negotiations with Manchester City for Joao Cancelo fall through. Cancelo, who has been pivotal for Barcelona this season, desires a permanent move to Camp Nou, but financial constraints hinder the deal. Barcelona is reportedly considering another loan for Cancelo with a permanent transfer in 2025, but City prefers an immediate €50m (£42.8m) sale, with other suitors in the mix.
In light of this, Barcelona eyes Kayode as an alternative. The 19-year-old, seen as an emerging talent, is highly regarded, having progressed through Juventus' youth ranks before joining Fiorentina in 2023. Kayode's versatility and potential have attracted interest from clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City. With 29 appearances for Fiorentina, including Serie A outings, Kayode presents an enticing prospect for Barcelona's future plans.
