Barcelona is eager to lock Chadi Riad

Chadi Riad left Barcelona in the summer to sign a season-long loan with Real Betis, which came with an obligatory buyout clause provided certain requirements were fulfilled. The young defender is now on track to meet requirements, therefore it is inevitable that he will become a permanent member of Los Verdiblancos. At Betis, Riad has enjoyed playing regular first team football. Despite not being selected for their Europa League team, he has seen a lot of action in La Liga, mostly as a result of Marc Bartra's Achilles injury and the transfer of Luiz Felipe.

Betis is thrilled with Riad and is eager to lock him down for the future. Marca reports that despite the permanent purchase option in the teams' loan agreement, conversations are already in progress with Barcelona over a transaction.
