Barcelona are targeting the signing of Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay to enhance the team's midfield after a remarkable season he had with Napoli.
The sources pointed out that the 28-year-old McTominay has become a key player in Napoli's lineup, known for his vast experience and ability to link the team's lines and contribute to the attack, making him ideal to compensate for the deficiencies in Barcelona's midfield due to injuries and inconsistent performances.
McTominay moved from Manchester United to Napoli in 2024 and won the league title with the Italian team in the 2024/2025 season, emerging as a well-rounded midfielder capable of orchestrating play, initiating attacks from the back, and creating opportunities.
