Bauza convinced Argentina will be World Champions

Someone needs to tell Argentina manager Edgardo Bauza that in order to think about winning the World Cup in Russia, first he needs to be qualified to the tournament. The Argentina national team and Bauza himself, are fresh off the worst period they've had in years. The local press from Argentina hit both Bauza and Messi with harsh criticism saying they believe Leo is the one who calls the shots in the squad, Bauza was outraged by these claims and had to come out in public to dismiss them.

Talking to Fox sports in an exclusive interview, Bauza said: "When Messi sees something in the team he doesn't like, he says so, but it doesn't hurt the team. It is not true what is said that there are players who cannot be selected because they are not liked by the group. If I want to select him I will, but today he is below Higuain and Pratto."

Then came the WTF moment of the interview, where Bauza added: "I remain confident in my dream. I am convinced that we will be world champions. I feel in the center of the storm, and it is normal that I am the most responsible. We lost at home and it is expected that the criticism is strong, but I do not like it when they are branded bad players. They were very hurt. The players gave a lot to the team and do not feel valued. Finishing second is not a failure."
