Bayern Munich is ready to trade Mathys Tel for a Chelsea forward

The hush around Bayern Munich during this winter transfer window has been broken by the announcement that they have begun negotiations to sign Christopher Nkunku with Chelsea of the Premier League. The player and Bayern have verbally agreed to a long-term contract, but talks are still ongoing. Max Eberl, the director of Bayern Sporting, wants to recruit Nkunku exclusively on a permanent basis, thus a loan for the Frenchman is not an option.

With Nkunku leaving, Chelsea is considering a possible trade in which they would sign Mathys Tel of Bayern. Like Bayern, the Premier League team is seeking a long-term addition rather than a loan. Up until now, Mathys Tel's team and Bayern had agreed that the player should remain at Bayern and strive for consistent playing time, but that might all change soon.
