Kane doubled Bayern's advantage by slipping a low right-footed shot from 15 yards past Jiri Pavlenka, the custodian for the home team. With a superb clip over the top within just four minutes, he had earlier contributed to the first of Leroy Sane's two goals. Late in the game, Mathys Tel completed a convincing win for Thomas Tuchel's team. "I was a little bit nervous [and] excited to play the game, of course," Kane said to the broadcaster DAZN following the game.

It was a brilliant evening for Bayern and the team's record acquisition Kane, who made his Bavarian debut against RB Leipzig by a score of 3-0 in the German Super Cup. Over a year after the prolific Polish striker's move to Barcelona, Kane skillfully assisted Sane in setting up the opening goal, earning him the reputation as the player who would ultimately replace Robert Lewandowski's shoes.
