Bayern Munich set to announce Jonathan Tah's arrival

The transfer saga of Jonathan Tah is about to come to an end. The Bayer Leverkusen centre-back, who was considered to be one of the big bargains of the summer transfer window due to his contract expiring with the German club, is to be announced as a new Bayern Munich player.

Despite Barcelona's strong interest in landing him, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has been quicker to secure the services of the 29-year-old defender.

According to press, Tah will undergo his medical with Bayern Munich on Wednesday and will be announced after he signs a contract that runs until June 2029. After that, the centre-back will travel to join the Germany training camp.

Tah has again been a key player in a great season for Leverkusen, making 48 official appearances, 45 starts in which he has scored six goals and provided one assist.
