Bayern Munich triumphs with a 4-0 score over Werder Bremen

Bayern Munich hosted a struggling Werder Bremen team at the Allianz Arena on matchday five of the current Bundesliga season. With a score of 4-0, the hosts easily defeated the visitors. The outcome wasn't shocking given recent history and present form. But Bayern wasn't at their best going into the match. Joshua Kimmich missed the start because he was sick, which added to the already severe personnel crisis brought on by a lengthy injury list. Tom Bischof, a young player, took his position in the starting lineup.

Even though Harry Kane missed a couple of fantastic goal-scoring opportunities early on, the defending German champions controlled the opposition with the performances of Bischof, Laimer, and Boey. Ironically, despite his sluggish start, Kane scored two goals and broke the record for the fastest time to 100 goals for a club among players in the top five European leagues.
