Youri Tielemans took Belgium an early lead in Köln on Saturday, scoring the lone goal of the first session. Both teams had tremendous chances to score in the second half, but spectacular stops from both goalkeepers prevented a breakthrough until the 80th minute. Kevin De Bruyne was pushed through by Koen Casteels to add the Red Devils' second goal. De Bruyne delivered the fatal punch in the 80th minute, giving Belgium a two-goal lead.
Belgium's two-goal triumph over Romania marks their first win of the tournament, propelling the world's third-ranked team to the top of Group E. Before the last round of games, all four teams in the group are level on three points, with everything to play for. Belgium will face Ukraine on Wednesday, while Romania will play Slovakia for a berth in the round of 16.
