Ben Chilwell's future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt after Enzo Maresca's arrival at Chelsea, according to a report. Former Leicester City boss Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss earlier this summer, is set to bring wholesale changes to the squad. According to The Telegraph, the Italian boss prefers to work with players who can be deployed in multiple positions and the approach is reportedly being called the 'Swiss Army Knife' masterplan.
Chelsea are eyeing a move for Italy's left-footed defender Riccardo Calafiori as Maresca looks to deploy him either as a left-back in a four-man backline, or a left centre-back in a back three. In the case of a three-man backline, Reece James and Marc Cucurella could go up on the pitch on the right and left flanks as wing-backs or can be used as an inverted midfielders.
