Bernardo Silva is emerging as one of the headline names of the upcoming transfer window, with his long spell at Manchester City appearing close to its conclusion. According to AS, the Portuguese playmaker has recently been offered to Real Madrid, though the Spanish champions are reportedly not considering him within their current squad plans. Interest elsewhere remains strong, with Juventus, AC Milan and Barcelona all monitoring developments, but Atlético Madrid are believed to be the most proactive. Marca reports that Atlético have already made enquiries, viewing Bernardo as the ideal successor to Antoine Griezmann’s creative role and a potential leader for Diego Simeone’s next project.

Financial demands represent the main obstacle, as his salary expectations are significant after years at the elite level. Even so, Atlético’s hierarchy are exploring ways to make a deal feasible. With negotiations still at an early stage, Bernardo’s future is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most compelling narratives.
