The 29-year-old former Inter and Newcastle United player joined for €9.5m in the summer of 2018.

He has fallen down the pecking order this season, making just 21 competitive appearances for the club.

According to TRT Spor, as reported by Romanews.eu, Besiktas are very close to securing Santon.

He would arrive on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

However, laroma24.it maintain Santon is unconvinced by the move and would prefer Lille instead.
