Blomqvist thinks Ibra will bring United more trophies

It has been an exciting last couple of days for any Manchester United fan without question, they just got the amazing news of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrival to the Red Devils. This Saturday morning they got even better news after he completed his medical exams, the player broke power test records in the history of the club. Meaning that he is in the best shape any other United player has ever been when tested. And Zlatan is already 34 years old! This is fantastic news for all the fans and many of the former players.

His compatriot Jesper Blomqvist who was a Sweden international, spoke to MUTV about Zlatan's arrival. He thinks that the striker will be a great deal of help for the Red Devils to get new titles in English football. After winning the FA Cup last season, this generation of players is ready to start winning more silverware and Zlatan will be the one who leads them to that alongside Wayne Rooney. Since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club, there hadn't been a more clinical striker than Zlatan.

Talking to MUTV, Jesper Blomqvist said: "He will come in with a winning mentality and will also set the standard for a lot of the others. He won't let anybody fall below his standards. He is a player who loves to win and will be a real boost to Manchester United. He has the work ethic you need if you want to be one of the best players in the world. He is in that category, definitely, and I know he has the mentality to win on the pitch, even in training sessions. There will be the chance to rub off on other players as well and that's what you need. He is a leader who could really take charge and ease the pressure on Wayne Rooney and the others a little bit by helping them."
