Boca Juniors secured their place in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana final with an impressive 3-1 away win over Vasco da Gama, overturning a 1-0 defeat in the first leg to advance after a dramatic semifinal encounter.
The visitors made an immediate impact when Lautaro Di Lollo headed home from a corner in the opening minutes. Miguel Merentiel then doubled Boca’s advantage in the 34th minute, finishing a counterattack initiated by Sebastián Villa.
Vasco responded after the break, with José Luis Rodríguez reducing the deficit in the 66th minute and reigniting hopes of reaching the final.
However, Leandro Paredes delivered the decisive moment in the 88th minute, firing home from distance to seal Boca’s qualification.
The Argentine side will contest the trophy on November 21 in Barranquilla against either Atlético Mineiro or Montevideo City Torque.
