Bologna end Lazio's Serie A winning run

The hosts had not dropped a game since the opening weekend and were aided by the return of Stefan Posch, Sam Beukema, and Jhon Lucumi, however, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Adama Soumaoro, and Oussame El Azzouzi were injured. The Biancocelesti lost Nicol Casale and benched Ciro Immobile, who was not fully fit.

Lewis Ferguson scored a minute into the second half to end Lazio's three-game winning run and move Bologna into sixth position in Serie A, two points ahead of Lazio in eighth. Ferguson's goal was his tenth in the league since joining from Aberdeen in July of last year, and it helped Bologna extend their winning streak. Bologna has now lost only one of their past 11 league games. Bologna's next game is against Fiorentina on November 12, while Lazio hosts Roma in a much-anticipated rivalry on the same day.
